Preconstruction Manager, Senior Project Manager

Derek Dykes has managed more than 1.5 million square feet of construction renovations throughout his 17 year career in the building construction industry. He started his career as a project superintendent, where he gained crucial field experience. Derek quickly advanced to Preconstruction Manager/Senior Project Manager. His proactive management style spans from day one of preconstruction through construction and final closeout. Derek provides consistent, detail-oriented leadership marked by a persistence for achieving quality results.

As Preconstruction Manager, Derek supervises business development strategies, preliminary site reviews, initial cost estimates, and proposal development/outreach. As Senior Project Manager, Derek ensures that capital projects stay on time and budget. Key duties include: setting overall project strategies; establishing budget review of the design, developing GMPs, drafting LEED submittals, preparing monthly O/A/E progress reports, and leading weekly subcontractor meetings.

Derek completed his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida. An accredited legacy LEED professional, Derek excels at energy-efficient design, environmentally-sustainable materials sourcing, and product lifecycle assessments.
