City of Sanford Utilities Building

The City of Sanford Utilities Building project involved the ground-up construction of a new facility to house the city’s Utilities Department and support its operational needs. The completed building includes administrative offices, customer service areas, operational workspaces, storage rooms for tools and materials, and large vehicle bays to accommodate the city’s utilities fleet.

Oelrich Construction delivered the project with an emphasis on long-term durability, functionality, and energy efficiency. The structure features reinforced concrete and steel systems, high-performance mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and modern interior finishes designed for heavy daily use. Site development included utility connections, parking areas, stormwater management, and landscaping that integrates the facility into the surrounding municipal campus.

The new Utilities Building now serves as a central point for city utility operations, offering a professional, well-equipped environment for staff, secure storage for vehicles and equipment, and a more accessible, convenient experience for Sanford residents.

The vehicle bays provide secure, on-site storage and protection for service vehicles, while the dedicated storage rooms ensure equipment and materials are organized and readily accessible for daily operations.
