Meridian Central Receiving Unit

The Meridian Behavioral Healthcare Crisis Stabilization Unit is an innovative facility designed to transform how mental health and substance use crises are managed in the community. The total project scope was 2,448 square feet of renovations and a 2,299-square-foot addition facility provides a single point of access for emergency evaluation and stabilization.

The expansion introduces distinct waiting areas for children and adults, ensuring a more comfortable and accommodating experience for all. Additional features include a law-enforcement-only bay area for secure transfers, private screening rooms for confidential assessments, and dedicated offices for staff.

Enhanced safety measures, such as ligature-resistant fixtures, advanced fire and lighting systems, and comprehensive access controls, reflect a commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment. This facility exemplifies innovation and compassion, addressing critical community needs with state-of-the-art solutions.
